Tait Communications is launching a new IP-connected Analog Simulcast solution aimed at public safety organizations at APCO International's Annual Conference & Expo, APCO 2015, in Washington, DC, August 16-19.

Tait's new Analog Simulcast IP solution offers an easy upgrade path for customers considering a future migration to P25 standards. Customers withTait TB9400 base stationscan retain their analog hardware and related simulcast software, and need only activate additional feature licenses to become fully P25-capable. This easy and cost-effective option enables customers to keep P25 options open for the future, while only having to spend to an analog level today.

Bruce Mazza, vice president, Solutions Marketing at Tait Communications, said Tait's IP-connected simulcast system is different than others currently in the market because of its simple upgrade path and represents outstanding customer value.

"Our Analog Simulcast IP solution offers maximum coverage at the lowest cost for customers using analog networks. It's the best migration story in town: customers only have to add new feature licenses to their analog repeaters to take full advantage of our IP-connected system. They can fully reuse all existing Tait hardware and software, and if they ever decide to upgrade to any type of Tait P25 digital network they're fully future-proofed."

Also on show at the APCO Tait booth are its P25 terminals, which helped one U.S. customer save more than $800,000 on its statewide network upgrade, and a P25 Trunked Phase 2 Base Station display.

Tait will also showcase Unified Voice, a unified critical communications solution for public safety launched earlier this year, alongside its EnableFleet and EnableLocate software solution, which allows management and configuration of mobile and portable radio fleets from one centralized location.

Show attendees can learn more about these technologies and see a demonstration of simulcast IP at the Tait booth (#433).
