Tait to discuss benefits of trunked DMR for utilities at EUTC–Eskom 2012
Tait Communications will discuss Digital Mobile Radio technology and how it can help utility organizations to optimize network use, increase ROI and improve business efficiency at the upcoming EUTC–Eskom workshop in Johannesburg, 27 to 28 February.
On Tuesday 28th, Monique Princen, Tait Solution Marketing Manager, will take part in the "Fixed Networks or Wireless Networks – Benefits and Challenges" panel, presenting a paper on the advantages of DMR Tier III technology for business-critical communications in the utility industry.
"As a founding member of the DMR association, Tait is committed to creating awareness of the DMR product offerings and growing the market by removing barriers to interoperability, while supporting innovation and adoption of the DMR standard," comments Monique.
"Tait DMR is one of the first implementations of the DMR Tier III standard, a modern, scalable communications system, which supports efficient data, combined with clear digital voice communications."
Tait DMR solutions, which will be available from the second half of this year, will offer integrated location services, data services, Over-the-Air programming, Network Management, encryption and security features, providing the natural digital migration pathway for today's conventional and trunked analog users.
"Tait DMR Tier III provides a highly reliable and robust wireless communication solution for utilities, guaranteeing increased worker safety and efficiency," adds Monique.
Tait experts will be available for meetings and interviews throughout the two-day conference, which is being held at Eskom Academy of Learning, Midrand. Schedule an appointment with a Tait expert.
The EUTC–Eskom workshop aims to provide delegates with valuable new insights and perspectives on utility telecoms challenges in South Africa, the wider region and around the globe.
