Tait selected for California P25 trunked TDMA-capable network

Tait Communications has been selected to implement a 700/800 MHz P25 digital trunked simulcast radio network for multiple emergency response agencies in a central California county.

Stanislaus County and the City of Modesto have selected the Tait 9400 core P25 Phase 2 TDMA-capable network as part of a multi-phase regional interoperable communications project.

Stanislaus Regional 9-1-1 Communications Manager Kurt Kline says the digital trunked radio solution will provide more efficient communications to first responders.

"It also gives us a long-term path to expand our communications as needed, and to take us to P25 Phase 2 when the time is right," says Kline.

RFP responses for the project were evaluated by an evaluation committee consisting of members from Modesto Regional Fire Authority, Stanislaus Regional 9-1-1, City of Ceres, City of Turlock and City of Modesto. Tait was awarded the project to design and implement the five-site, five-channel system and provide support services to enable a smooth installation.
