泰特通信新portabl捐赠了e radios to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The TP8120 radios, with spare batteries and chargers, will mean that rescue paramedics can carry out their life-saving work with greater speed and safety.
Rick Knight, Advanced Rescue Paramedic, says, "When we deploy to an incident on land or at sea, we need to be able to stay in constant contact with the helicopter pilot to coordinate an effective rescue. This is particularly crucial when we are descending from or ascending to the helicopter using the winch system.
"With the previous radios, we had issues with linking them to our helmets for hands-free operation. Any minor issues during a call-out can quickly escalate into major issues in the field. But thanks to Tait, we've solved these problems and added a truly reliable and effective communications tool to our response kit."
Ian McKee, General Manager, Tait Communications, says, "Air rescue services play a vital role in our communities, providing people with a fast and efficient lifeline when they need it most.
"We're delighted to equip the Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew with the critical communications tools they need to make their jobs safer — helping them to protect the people who rely on their services every day."
